Putney apartment SW15

The client of this project designed a jewel like resolution with Bricault Design, Vancouver before contacting Margreiter to deliver this highly detailed project in an in an iconic listed building in SW15.

The property was stripped back to the brick walls and concrete floor before the interior was built as a carefully executed piece of furniture where every wall was functional and fully utilises the 4m ceiling height. The hallway circulates around the central structural column and has access to all key rooms and includes the office and piano built into bookshelves to maximize the floor area.

The entrance lobby stone floor running through to floors in oak Versailles pattern, with the addition of marble inserts in the snug floor. Bespoke items in the metalwork details include hand made brass uplights. Ash was used for all the joinery set against antique brass for all metalwork, including rails for shelving. The apartments organic floorplan was reflected with corresponding patterns in the kitchen ‘leaf’ tiles, the bathroom floors handmade mosaic and a bespoke sandblasted shower door. The entire scheme is set off with a collection of mid Century furniture.
